Convicted con-artist Peter Stead claims to be the brother of comedian Peter Kay to hustle landlords out of charity money.

In the past, he has fraudulently taken over £6,000 landing himself a 24 month prison stretch. He claims to be the brother of comedian Peter Kay and offers to arrange comedy nights at venues to raise money for charity.

Stead had a criminal record dating back to 1993 for fraud and dishonestly taking money from business owners.

Local publican Ray Keddy put out the warning to other licensees in the area on Monday 6th June, explaining that Stead has been spotted in The White Swan on Chesterfield Road.
